A request was made for a dish that was a little more figure friendly. Ask and you shall receive!
Ingredients:
- 1 chicken breast
- 1 can of chicken broth
- 3/4 box of fusilli pasta
- 1/2 bag of frozen peas
- olive oil
- parmesan cheese (only about 1/4 cup)
- herbs de provence
- garlic powder
- salt
- pepper
- oregano
- flour
Instructions: Slice the chicken breast and marinate it in the olive oil, herbs, salt, pepper, and garlic powder, and then saute it in a frying pan. After the chicken is done, take it out of the pan and then add some more olive oil and about a tablespoon or two of flour. Let the flour cook in the oil for a little bit before adding the chicken broth. Season with salt, pepper, garlic, and herbs, and let it simmer for a few minutes. Add the pasta directly from the pasta water so that it can absorb the sauce. Add the peas so that they can warm through. Mix in the chicken and cheese.

Still a lot of oil… but olive oil is heart healthy. See… Things can still be delicious and not give everyone the sugar!!!!
