So I made this dish a while ago, but I (think) I remember the steps that I took to make a tasty meal. Also, it’s important to note that I don’t really measure anything…with that in mind I’ll try to give rough estimates (very rough). So here it goes!
Ingredients:
- 1 chicken breast
- 1/2 a small onion (diced)
- 8 oz package of frozen spinach (thawed and drained)
- 1/2 pint of mushrooms (sliced)
- 1 pint of heavy cream
- a little over half a box of pasta
- 3 tablespoons of butter
- 3 tablespoons of flour
- salt
- pepper
- garlic powder
- olive oil
- parmesan cheese
Instructions:
- Boil a pot of water and cook the pasta
- Season the chicken breast with salt, pepper, and garlic powder, and then saute it in a pan with olive oil
- After the chicken is done, remove it from the pan and add the onions and mushrooms
- Once the onions and mushrooms are done, remove them from the pan
- Make a rue with the butter and flour
- Add the heavy cream to the rue and add the parmesan cheese
- Season the sauce with a little salt and pepper (to taste)
- Cut up the chicken breast and combine it with everything else (pasta, onions, mushrooms, spinach, alfredo sauce)
- Enjoy!
So this is what I did, but feel free to make it your own by switching out some of the ingredients. (Use shrimp instead of chicken, or toss in some peas.)
