I’m a fan of buying myself gifts every now and then. Up until a few years ago I had to wait for Christmas or my birthday to hope and pray that I would get what I really wanted, and then of course I would sometimes be left empty handed without that golden ticket. With this circumstance in mind I started to buy gifts for myself. I started off small with a new shirt on occasion, then moved on to a fresh pair of kicks here and there, and for my birthday last year I bought myself a MacBook. My most recent splurge was a Canon EOS Rebel XS Digital SLR sometime between Christmas and my birthday. Maybe next up will be a trip some place where I can lounge in a beach chair and sip a drink with an umbrella in it..
Old Camera: Pasta with spicy Italian sausage, spinach, mushrooms and goat cheese – similar to this recipe.
New Camera: Leftovers from culinary class – lamb (I think), carrots, onions and peas.
Hopefully this will mean a huge step up in picture quality from hence forth. Now I just need to work on perfecting the lighting…

That was a tasty recipe for that Navarin! Yum! Mine is somewhere in the freezer.
