These are crazy times that we’re living in. I have lots of ideas about what’s been going on that I’d love to coherently share with you, but it’s late at night and I’m ready to go to sleep. (Yet here I type, forcing myself to break my recipe posting hiatus.) So I will leave you with this: Love thy neighbor as thyself. It’s the commandment by which I aim to govern my life, and the one by which I hope others do as well.
In light of loving thyself, these peanut butter swirl brownies are a great place to start. It’s a riff on the brownie recipe I’ve posted before, but with some peanut butter swirled on top (as the name implies). Tahini swirl brownies were all the craze when I got the idea to share this recipe, but of course I don’t usually have any of the sesame seed paste in my pantry. Therefore, I went back to the classic chocolate-nutty combo (which probably inspired the tahini version in the first place) to satisfy my quest. I ended up handing out samples to my friends when I ran into them the following day and they certainly seemed to be pleased with the result. Hopefully you will be too.
